Zach Ben-Amots is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, photojournalist, and multimedia artist. He lives in New York City and works as an Assistant Professor of Journalism at Long Island University – Brooklyn, where he teaches nonfiction storytelling and media art courses. As an award-winning reporter passionate about local news, he has worked as a senior producer at CBS New York, a digital video producer at ABC 7 Chicago, and an investigative multimedia journalist for Rocky Mountain PBS. Along with legacy media outlets, much of his national reporting is done for digital-first outlets like More Perfect Union and reaches millions on social media. His films and news stories have been featured and streamed on Hulu, Good Morning America, The Washington Post, and CBS News, as well as ABC, CBS, and PBS stations around the country.
